On Monday, 9th of September , 2019. The head of MRDM program Assoc. Prof. Dr. Somsak Srisontisuk and students visited Population Development Association(PDA), Ban Phai district, Khon Kaen province. Where is a non-governmental organization was founded in 1974, so far it has 45 years history. PDA consists of many activities such as basic health care, HIV/AIDS education and prevention, water resource development and sanitation, income[1]generation, environmental conservation, promotion of small-scale rural enterprise programs, gender equality, youth development, and democracy promotion, village bank, farming cooperation with CP Group etc.
Then in the afternoon , the professor and students went to Ban Nong Tong sub-district Nuhung Dang, the vegetable garden getting close to the crops especially Gra Pow. And also we got the detailed understanding of the specific income of local farmers, the processing of produce Gra Pow and how to sell to CP group. And this, students and Aj went to Ban Nan sub-district in Ban Phai. Students attended a dialogue with the village’s committee members. Students known the detail of village bank and water project etc.
It is really meaningful for MDRM student taken part in this field trip. It was learned a lot which involved their professional career in the future.
