Purpose |
Khon Kaen University aims to become a world-class research and development university. To achieve this, it is essential to quickly raise the quality of research. Graduate theses are a key part of the university’s research output. Supporting graduate students to produce high-quality theses—through funding and encouragement—will lead to research that gets published in top academic journals, helping the university reach its research goals.

Qualifications of Applicants |
1. Being a current graduate student (Not on a leave of absence status, maintaining student status, or awaiting publication) who never had a first-author publication in a Q1-quality journal indexed in the SCOPUS database prior to the announcement of the eligible candidates for scholarship
2. Have a complete research manuscript in English, which is part of the thesis and used for graduation requirements, with the applicant's name listed as the first author. The manuscript must not be in the process of submission, under review by a publisher, or already accepted for publication in any journal.
3. Obtain approval from the major thesis advisor.
Important note:
1. The research manuscript submitted for the scholarship must not have been submitted for publication.
2. The research manuscript may only be submitted for publication after the applicant has been awarded the scholarship.

Amount and Disbursement of the Scholarship |
Schoalarship Allocation
1. Each scholarship is awarded in an amount not exceeding 20,000 THB.
2. Scholarship Disbursement:
The scholarship will be disbursed in two installments:
Installment 1: Up to 10,000 THB will be disbursed once the research manuscript has been submitted to the first journal according to the publication plan.
Installment 2: Up to 10,000 THB will be disbursed once the manuscript has been accepted for publication in a Q1 journal indexed in SCOPUS.

Application Period: By the 5th of each month.
Announcement of Scholarship Recipients: By the 20th of that month
Application deadline: August 5, 2025

Disbursement Process |
