Purpose
|
To promote and encourage graduate students at Khon Kaen University to recognize the importance of publishing research in high-quality journals—thereby enhancing the overall research quality of the university and advancing its status as a world-class research and development institution in line with its vision—this initiative also aims to honor and recognize graduate students who have published outstanding research work. |
|
1. Qualifications of Applicants
|
1. Being a graduate student of Khon Kaen University and
2. An applicant must not be in the process of awaiting publication or graduation, and
3. An applicant must not be on a leave of study period. and
4. An applicant must have a current student status until July 21, 2025
|
|
2. Criteria for Consideration
|
2.1 Published works must be a Full Article/Original Article already indexed in the
SCOPUS database, and the publication must be part of the thesis for graduation.
2.2 Published works that have been accepted for publication in Open Access journals from March 1, 2024, onwards must comply with the Graduate School's Announcement No. 16/2025 regarding guidelines for publications for consideration of scholarships and awards by the Graduate School.
2.3 The submitted publication must list the applicant’s name as the first author, and the publication must have been submitted after the applicant began their current level of study.
2.4 In the case of previous Hall of Fame scholarship recipients, applicants must submit newly published works that have not been used for applying for this scholarship before.
2.5 Criteria for scoring published works: The quantity of published works, with 1 publication being worth 1 point.
For students in field of Health Sciences/Science Technology, the scoring for the quantity of published works will only consider publications with Tier 1 or Q1 in the SCOPUS Database. The quality level of the work is determined by the journal's best quality ranking for the current year.
2.6 The following criteria are used to assess the quality of published works.
(1) Tier1 1 paper = 6 points
(2) Q1 1 paper = 4 points
(3) Q2 1 paper = 3 points
(4) Q3 1 paper = 2 points
(5) Q4 1 paper = 1 point
For students in field of Health Sciences/Science Technology, the scoring for
the quality of published works will only consider publications with Tier 1 or Q1 in
the SCOPUS Database. The quality level of the work is determined by the journal's best quality ranking for the current year.
2.7 To calculate the total score the scores from the quantity and the quality scores
must be added together.

3. Scholarship Allocation
|
Allocated into levels/field of study as follows:
3.1 Master's level
(1) Students who rank in the top 3 for the highest total scores in the Humanities and Social Sciences field will receive a scholarship and a certificate of honor.
(2) Students who rank in the top 3 for the highest total scores in the Health Sciences field will receive a scholarship and a certificate of honor.
(3) Students who rank in the top 3 for the highest total scores in the of Science and Technology field will receive a scholarship and a certificate of honor.
Student who has the first highest total score receives 10,000 THB
Student who has the second-highest total score receives 7,000 THB
Student who has the third-highest total score receives 5,000 THB
3.2 Doctoral level
(1) Students who rank in the top 3 for the highest total scores in the Humanities and Social Sciences field will receive a scholarship and a certificate of honor.
(2) Students who rank in the top 3 for the highest total scores in the Health Sciences field will receive a scholarship and a certificate of honor.
(1) Students who rank in the top 3 for the highest total scores in the of Science and Technology field will receive a scholarship and a certificate of honor.
Student who has the first highest total score receives 12,000 THB
Student who has the second-highest total score receives 10,000 THB
Student who has the third-highest total score receives 7,000 THB
In the case of equal total scores within each field group, the allocation of scholarships may not consider the subsequent ranks, and the scholarship amount may be adjusted at the discretion of the committee. However, the total amount allocated must not exceed the overall budget for each level/field group.
Furthermore, if there is a need to determine which field group a scholarship applicant should belong to, it will be at the discretion of the committee, and their decision will be final.

1. A completed application form which is approved by thesis advisor.
2. Students are required to fill out information according to the specified online form. Please note that only students who correctly fill out the information as specified will be considered.
